“And let them first pray together, that so they may associate in peace.” Rule of Saint Benedict
Our liturgical celebrations are an essential way that we at Benedictine Academy enhance our growth and character formation in the Benedictine tradition and express our identity as a faith community. It is a way to deepen our unity with God, each other and all of God's creation. Liturgical celebrations help our students to become women rooted in the gospel and committed to a life-long relationship with God.
School liturgies are held once a month and prayer services are scheduled at various times throughout the school year in accordance with the Liturgical calendar. Students take an active leadership role in participating in the preparation of the Liturgy through lecturing, singing, praise dancing and altar serving. Opportunities to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation are provided during the seasons of Advent and Lent.
